Loree Lough shared her plotting mastery with a
packed room at the 2008 conference. That session was only an hour, and based on
the comments from attendees, I decided to invite Loree back in 2010 for a half-day
session that includes plotting and subplotting.
Loree is quick to tell you that you can’t
have a publishable story without a strong plot. It’s something your readers
crave, and it’s something that agents and editors demand. With that in mind,
she’s designed this class to give fiction writers a soup to nuts look to structuring a plot and weaving in subplots.
After much discussion with Loree, we’ve
decided not to put a limit on this class as far as the number of participants
goes. The more people in the class, the greater the opportunity for
brainstorming, which is an essential element in plotting your characters’ downfalls and
triumphs.
